Celebrate Your Day

I'm going to be 20 here pretty soon. And it's kind of bittersweet. I've enjoyed being a teenager; being young.

The teens years usually have the most growth; physically as well as emotionally.

We start to make real connections, have real problems, and get some perspective on life.

We're entering adulthood - and we start to learn lessons through experience. We start to see the reason why for some things.

There's a lot of experimenting that happens during the teen years. We're trying find our place; in our families, our jobs, and the rest of the world.

We try new things - simply because we can. We develop our comfort zone and then practice stepping outside of it every once in a while, just to see what happens.

We're learning from every little thing. Though sometimes it may take a few times for a lesson to get out of our heads and into our hearts.

We're growing. We're being made into the teachers, parents, police officers, congressmen, and scientists of tomorrow.

Don't write us off as small or insignificant.

We are the future.

We may feel small now, but we're already impacting the lives around us - whether for good or for bad.

Being a teenager is challenging. But it's a necessary season that everyone has to go through.
