The Graduate 2017

It's easy to think that we know everything there is to know in life. It's easy to think that we know all the answers. And it's easy to live that way.

But what I'm learning is you don't have to have it all figured out. It's okay if there are times where you don't know what to do or what to say. It's okay to ask someone else for help with something. It's okay to not know everything.

We think that we look better when we can give all the right answers and know everything there is to know. We look like fools when we don't know something.

So, we pretend like we know it all. And then, after a while, we've pretended for so long that we actually believe it.

But when we think we know everything we lose the beauty of learning. We become unteachable because we think we know it all already. We miss out on what life can teach us.

The older I get, the more I learn. I learn more about life and I learn more about God. But most importantly, I learn how much I don't know and still need to learn.

It's okay to not know. It's okay to learn. It's okay to grow. Don't ever stop.

  1. "The older I get, the more I learn. I learn more about life and I learn more about God. But most importantly, I learn how much I don't know and still need to learn." That's the sign of maturity we all need to come to :)

    1. Amen! It definitely requires some maturity to come to the realization that we don't know everything ;) I think that it's definitely freeing to be able to admit that we don't know everything tho since it gives us a more willing spirit to learn. Thanks for reading Christopher :) I know some of these posts are more of a rant so I'm glad someone has found them encouraging!
