This Is For You

Hey friends!

So, here I am again, bringing you another birthday card... I know you might be wondering where the graduation cards are. Well, get ready because they are coming. :P

Well, I was thinking about how short life really is. When we're younger we think it will take forever to get to adulthood. When we get to adulthood, we think it will be forever before we get married. When we get married, we think it will be forever before we have kids. And on and on.

But life really is short. And it goes by like a breath.

I'm almost 20 and I'm starting to realize how fast life is going.

But I'm also realizing that I still have time.

I don't know how much time, but I do still have some.

And I'm trying to think of how I can use that short amount of time for the best.

Most everyone has probably heard of YOLO (you only live once). People usually give that as an excuse to do something rash.

But what if we used that as an excuse to live life without wasting any opportunities? What if we used that as an excuse to not miss out on everything God has in store for us?

When we're in the store and we see someone struggling with their bags, do we take the time to help?

When we're in the drive through at Starbucks, do we take the time to hand the barista a Bible track?

When we're talking to a friend about something, do we try and bring God into the conversation?

Hey, we only live once on this earth. We can't redo our life or have a second chance. So, why don't we take risks that will benefit us for eternity?

I've definitely been challenged to take more risks for Jesus - the rewards for our efforts will far outweigh anything we might lose here on earth.
