Purple Happy Birthday

I haven't done a book review on here in a while so I thought it was time for one.

Last month I read the book Girl Defined by Bethany Baird and Kristen Clarke for the first time. I've read their blog now for quite a while but hadn't picked up the book yet. But once I read it, I really enjoyed it!

One of the main themes of the book was identity, which I really liked. Identity is something that I struggle with and this was a good book for me to read about it.

It also had a lot to do with the counterfeit women-hood of the world and tried to steer the readers toward Biblical women-hood.

I liked reading about their personal experiences and how vulnerable they are with their readers. (Vulnerability is big points in my book.)

I guess a good way to explain it would be to say it was very real. Real in how they presented the problem but also real with how they solved it.

It's definitely something I would recommend to teen girls who have open hearts to hear their message.

Also, did you know they're coming out with a second book?! So, this is quite exciting. Obviously it's still in the works so it probably won't be released til next year but it's something to look forward to.

Well, there's a short review for you all today :)
