~ Questions. ~
// How many books did you read in 2016? (Exact if you know, or approximate if not.)

I read 27 books in 2016.

// Did you set a reading challenge for yourself and, if so, did you meet it?

I had a goal of 25 books this year and I did reach it!

// What was your most read genre this year? Least read?

Historical fiction was my most read genre with 11 books and my least read genre was nonfiction which was only 1. Historical fiction was no surprise since it's my favorite genre but I like nonfiction as well so I was kind of surprised that I only read one this year.

// What's five of your favorite books from 2016?

A Time to Speak by Nadine Brandes
The Sky Riders by Christopher Hopper
Navigating Early by Clare Vanderpool
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Septys
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne

// What's five of your least favorite books from 2016?

I read so many good books this year that I couldn't choose 5. So here's 3.
Stepping Heavenward by Mrs. E. Prentiss - A good book just got kinda long at times.
The Girl from the Train by Irma Jourbert - A little drawn out if you ask me, plus not very good romance. Although it did have a good story line.
Jessica's First Prayer by Hesba Stretton - Sweet story, just not really my reading preference.

// What new favorite author did you discover? (Not necessarily that the author is 'new', but that they became new to you this year.)

I discovered quite a few new authors this year: Clare Vanderpool, Joan Bauer, Ruta Septys, Terri Blackstock, and Jennifer A. Nielson.

// What's five of your favorite book covers from the year?

// How many books did you purchase for yourself in 2016? (Exact if you know, approximate if not.)

I only purchased 2 books in 2016 although I got a lot of free books from friends and such. The two I purchased were:
Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris
Stop Dating the Church by Joshua Harris

// What's the longest book you read in 2016?

Resistance by Jaye L. Knight - 524 pages

// What's the shortest book you read in 2016?

Jessica's First Prayer by Hesba Stretton - 84 pages

// What's your reading goal for 2017?

For 2017 I set a reading goal of 60 books. Sounds pretty ambitious especially since I only read 27 in 2016 *oops* but I think I can handle it :) I guess we'll see.

I'm pretty sure that all  my blogging friends have already done this tag... but if you haven't done it let me know in the comments and I'll tag you!

Well, that was a fun tag. Thanks for creating it Faith!

I haven’t read any of these books. Although I’ve heard some good things about “This Quiet Sky” so maybe I’ll read it sometime. :)

  3. Sound like it was a fun time of reading. I am so behind on all that reading stuff. I don't think I've even finished the one book I started last year. Yes I live a sad pathetic life of non-reading :P or I just live under a rock I can never tell the difference :D
