A Merry Little Christmas (12 DoC day 4!)

Hey guys! I'm here today with 12 DoC linkup again and some of my favorite Christmas movies!
Be sure to check out our host for the linkup at Stories by Firefly.

So here's my top three favorite Christmas movies.

#3. Home Alone

This is a Christmas classic that's sure to make your stomach hurt from laughing so much. Kevin is just an "average" kid who gets left behind at the house when his family leaves for the Christmas season. When two crooks try and break into their home, Kevin must think up some creative ways to keep them away.

My favorite part is probably when he goes to the grocery store and the clerk is asking him where his parents are and he's trying to come up with an excuse for being there by himself.

#2. The Nativity Story

This is the story of Jesus' birth. I really like watching this movie. Obviously the screenwriter used some creative liberty in the production of this movie as we don't know every little detail in regards to the birth of Jesus.

My favorite part is when Mary and Joseph are traveling to Bethlehem and they stop for the night to set up camp. Mary has been riding a donkey but Joseph has had to walk all day every day and his sandals and feet are covered in mud. Mary starts saying something to Joseph only to turn around mid-sentence and find him fast asleep. That's when she takes his sandals off and whispers to baby Jesus inside the womb that He will have a good earthly father.

#1. The Christmas Shoes

The Christmas Shoes - Christian Movie/Film on DVD/Blu-ray. http://www.christianfilmdatabase.com/review/the-christmas-shoes/:

This is my favorite Christmas movie. The main character, Robert, has a life changing encounter with a young boy named Nathan, who has a mother who's fighting cancer. Their short encounter at a store on Christmas Eve makes Robert rethink his busy schedule that hasn't had room for anything but work.

My favorite part is when Nathan's mother asks his father for one last dance near the end of the movie, and his father picks her up and dances around the room with her. So sweet!

So those are three of my favorite Christmas movies. We started with a funny one and ended with a tear-jerker. Seen any? Have any I should add to my list?
