Blue Thank You

So, on this trip, I had the opportunity to read quite a few books. 7 to be exact. I think that's probably some kind of record for me. And I know that several of them will be added to my favorite books page. :)

Would you like to take a look at some of them with me?

Counted With the Stars by Connilyn Cossette
Biblical fiction work about the exodus of the Jews out of Egypt from the view point of a young Egyptian girl.

Counted With the Stars (Out from Egypt, #1)Counted With the Stars by Connilyn Cossette
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a pretty good book. I really liked how the ten plagues came to life in a way I never really thought about. And the author did a good job of portraying the biblical exodus. As there are some more mature topics I would recommend this to 15+. 4 out of 5 stars!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was beautiful. And by beautiful I mean the kind of beautiful that leaves you breathless, broken, and inspired all at once with quotable phrases on every precious page. Such a small book with such a big message.

Priceless: She's Worth Fighting For by Joel and Luke Smallbone (the guys from For King and Country)
Amazing, eye-opening story about the reality of prostitution that proves every person is priceless in God's sight. (And I'm so excited to see this movie!)

Priceless: She's Worth Fighting ForPriceless: She's Worth Fighting For by Joel Smallbone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was amazing. Joel and Luke have an amazing heart with an amazing message to spread: how every single one of us is priceless.

This book follows the story of James, who hits rock bottom when his wife dies and he loses custody of his daughter. He agrees to drive a truck to Nevada with no questions asked about what he's carrying.

But what he is carrying will change his life forever.

This book deals with the issue of human trafficking and prostitution as something that is very real. That being said, I would recommend this book for 15+ because of such a mature setting.

If I Run by Terri Blackstock
Part 1 of the story of a girl's flight from a corrupt police force that wants her dead for the information she knows.

Choosing Forgiveness: Your Journey to Freedom by Nancy Leigh DeMoss
Nonfiction about choosing to forgive. Unlocking the power of forgiveness will set you free.

That's a lot of books, isn't it? And I read all of those in just 10 days. That's a little less than a book a day!

Well, that's about all I have for today so thanks for reading!
